I am in Coimbatore today, for the consecutive weekend. Last week it was one day in CBE and one day in my native for a festival. This time it is threeeeee full days!!! My aunt’s new bundle of joy Ramya baby is doing a full time night duty J…Just 28 days old, she is spreading joy and enthusiasm in our family. I had a sumptuous meal, of course prepared by my mother with the most important ingredient…love. Sleep seeped in after the meal. Later in the evening we went for a shopping.
Anthem, a very short, yet thought provoking novel was the last one read by me. The Anthem is composed of thoughts from Ayn Rand. She speaks of a man who broke all laws of the land he lived in, a land of collective thoughts where he aspires to be of his own… The man goes about exploring nature and things that give him much pleasure than working for a collective society as a street sweeper. He meets his woman in his very own same land of collective thoughts. He flees to exercise his freedom and his woman ‘The Golden One’ follows him. Rand emphasizes on the importance of the feeling of ‘I, Me Myself’. People would call this as selfishness but without exercising this feeling, a human being would be just a boring person, not the one who would stand apart from the crowd.
