Most guys in India have the professional degree / work-ex tag attached to them, not to fulfill their professional roles. One of my friend, who conducted an interview recently was bewildered and could not digest the situation. The candidate, a mechanical engineer has 2 years of experience in the Energy sector even does not know the basic principle of a boiler and its operation. On top of hat he was expecting the salary of a 2+ years experienced pay-scale!
The real 25-30% professionals who understand their roles are also misunderstood because of the remaining so called professionals...
Moreover professionalism has to do more with the attitude rather than the degree, Am I right in saying so?
