Engineering is about responsibility

A week back, I gave a go ahead for hardware feasibility for testing a software driver. Yesterday, the SW team came up with a additional requirement. Deeply going through again, I was shocked that I might be wrong in my claim!...I put in all my efforts, understood the entire flow and proposed a different solution. Later in the evening, I really felt that engineering is all about being responsible and accountable. And responsible engineers are becoming rare day by day...
